Nicaela Havala, is a Registered Dietitian at Shelby the RD, LLC where she helps clients to identify root causes of their unhealthy relationship with food so that they can build a better one.
Nicaela is originally from Euless, Texas and moved to Dallas after graduating from Texas A&M University to establish her own roots and continue to build the friendships she and her husband have created. From her previous experience as a clinical dietitian, she has learned to listen for patterns so that she can help her clients identify and break unhelpful cycles with food. Nicaela is excited to help her clients develop a healthy relationship with food, achieve their long-term goals, and work together to prevent and/or manage chronic diseases down the road.
Nicaela learned she was meant to help others get well and build healthy habits when she was able to help her grandparents. Nicaela had a front-row experience of the positive impact of healthy habits and good nutrition when she helped her grandfather after he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Nicaela's passion for food was how she contributed to her grandparents' care.
Outside of work you can find Nicaela on an adventure with her husband and their goldendoodles. She enjoys incorporating exercise in her daily life as well as helping the middle school ministry at her church.
